Yacht Explodes at Marina del Rey, Injuring Six

Six people were injured, two critically, when a yacht exploded at a Marina del Rey dock early Sunday morning.

The blast occurred around 12:30 a.m. at the 4900 block of Admiralty Way, near Fiji Way, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation, but authorities believe it may have been caused by a propane leak.

The yacht, which was about 60 feet long, was completely destroyed by the blast.

The injured were taken to local hospitals, where two were listed in critical condition.

The explosion also caused damage to nearby boats and property.

The marina was closed for several hours while authorities investigated the incident.

The Sheriff's Department is asking anyone with information about the explosion to contact them.
