Serbia's Lazar Đukić, 28, a world renowned CrossFit athlete, has died during a swim competition at the CrossFit Games in Fort Worth, Texas. The Tarrant County Medical Examiners Office confirmed Đukić's identity. The tragic incident occurred on the first day of competition at Marine Creek Lake.

CrossFit released an official statement on its Instagram account, expressing devastation over Đukić's passing. The cause and manner of death are still under investigation. Djukic was considered a top contender for the podium at the 2024 CrossFit Games.
