Former Major Champion Re-Enters the Fray

Stewie2k, the former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Major champion, has returned to competitive play after a brief hiatus.

Yip, better known as Stewie2k, announced his return on Twitter, saying that he would be joining the North American team Team Liquid. Stewie2k was previously a member of Team Liquid from 2016 to 2018, during which time he won the ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018.

Stewie2k left Team Liquid in 2018 to join MIBR, but he was released from the team in 2019. He then joined Evil Geniuses, where he helped the team win the ESL One: New York 2019. Stewie2k left Evil Geniuses in 2020 to focus on streaming.

Stewie2k's return to competitive CS:GO is a major boost for Team Liquid. The team has struggled in recent months, but Stewie2k is a proven winner who could help them turn things around.
