Officials Issue Warnings After Two Attacks in 90 Minutes

Authorities are warning of shark dangers along Florida's Gulf Coast after three people were injured in two shark attacks within just 90 minutes of each other on Friday. The attacks occurred off the coast of Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach, prompting some beach closures.

The first attack occurred at around 11:30 a.m. when a 24-year-old man was bitten on the leg while swimming off Navarre Beach. The man was able to make it back to shore and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The second attack occurred at around 12:45 p.m. when a 60-year-old woman was bitten on the arm while swimming off Pensacola Beach. The woman was also able to make it back to shore and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The third attack occurred at around 1:15 p.m. when a 16-year-old boy was bitten on the leg while swimming off Navarre Beach. The boy was also able to make it back to shore and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are using boats to patrol the ocean and warning swimmers about sharks this weekend. Beachgoers are urged to be vigilant and to avoid swimming in areas where sharks have been spotted.
